The first Viselaya Sculpture Competition was held in 2003 and was judged by Jonathan Fairbanks. The juried exhibit was enhanced by a concurrent exhibit of 20th Century figurative works by Donald DeLue, Avard Fairbanks, Daniel Chester French, Walker Hancock, Richard Recchia, Katherine Lane Weems, and Albert Wein.
